The Intensive Course is a course of lessons of approximately 40 to 50 hours of tuition over a short period of time - perhaps one or two weeks.  These are available to anyone with a licence, but the idea is that after this intensive training you are ready to take your Practical Test .

Therefore it is preferable that you have passed your Theory Test and have a date for your Practical Test when starting an intensive course. Be aware though, some test centres have a ten or twelve week wait for a practical test

With a date to work towards, intensive courses can be a great way of learning.
